Cookie Policy

Last updated: August 2026

This policy explains how PointView.ai uses cookies and similar storage technologies when you visit our website or use the app.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device that help a website or app remember information about your visit. We also use similar browser storage such as localStorage for the same purposes.

Cookies we use

  • Necessary — Authentication session cookies from Supabase so you can stay signed in. These are essential and cannot be turned off.
  • Preferences — Your dark/light theme choice is stored in localStorage so the site looks right on your next visit.
  • QR attribution — When you scan a PointView QR code, we store a cookie and localStorage entry so we can connect your visit (and any later signup) to the marketing material or partner that brought you here. This is only set with your consent.

How long they last

Auth cookies last for the duration of your browsing session or until you sign out. Theme preference lasts until you clear your browser data. QR attribution lasts up to 90 days.

Change your choice

You can update your cookie preference at any time. Selecting “Necessary only” will stop new QR attribution cookies from being written.
